The short version
NewsOregon has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies, and it does not sell personal information. The only personal information it receives is what you choose to send through the feedback form.
Feedback form
When you send feedback, NewsOregon checks the form and uses Cloudflare’s email service to deliver your message, any source you mention and, if you provide them, your name and email address to the publisher’s private email inbox. Messages are not posted on this site or saved in its database. The publisher keeps received messages as needed to review and respond to feedback. Your email address is used only to reply to you. To have a message deleted, ask through the same form.
Visitor statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits, page views, pages viewed and referring sites. It uses no cookies and builds no cross-site profile. These are traffic totals, not records of identified people. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site does not load it.
Outbound link counts
When you follow a link to another website, NewsOregon adds one to that day’s total for the destination. Only the date, the destination and the count are stored, with no IP address, cookie or visitor identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control opt you out.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect against abuse under the Cloudflare privacy policy External · cloudflare.com (opens in a new tab). The feedback form briefly uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions; NewsOregon does not store it.
Links to other websites
Most of this site links to other publishers. Their own privacy practices apply once you follow a link, and external links open in a new tab.
Children
NewsOregon covers schools but is not directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Questions about privacy can be sent through the feedback form.
